Stitch Fix #10

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked and it was not a great feeling when I was faced with the possibility of having to go out and shop for my own unique pieces when this fix TOTALLY sucked.

For this fix, I requested casual summer clothes for spending a lot of time at home with my toddler during the HOT Texas summer. I referenced my Pinterest board where I had pinned a lot of specific tops I wanted to try and asked for a pair of cropped jeans. What I got was not at all what I requested and my stylist made no mention of my requests or Pinterest board. It was such a disappointment, especially when my day started like this...

Such a great mail day! I contacted Stitch Fix and explained my disappointment and sincere consideration in cancelling the service. Not only did they respond quickly and credit my account a styling fee, they researched my account and found how much I'd loved my 8th fix styled by Victor and offered to tag him to my account if I'd try another fix. I'm really pleased with their customer service and will be giving Stitch Fix another shot.

Let's get to the clothes:

#1 Octavia - Kelli Half Lace Infinity Scarf - $28

This was the only thing I really loved from this fix. Normally, I would've found something similar from {jane} for half the price but I didn't want to lose my styling fee so I kept it. I do wear it all the time and love the style.

Status: Kept

#2 Fate - Jocie Striped Chiffon Layer Cardigan - $48

This is not at all casual and looks horrible on me. This was the most disappointing piece I received. I think my stylist was trying to give me something similar to {this} cardigan I pinned but it was just way off the mark for me.

Status: Returned

#3 THML - Kahlo Knit Top - $58

Heavy knit material, crotch framing hemline...horrible.

Status: Returned

#4 Papermoon - Calla Sweetheart Neckline Blouse - $44

Looking at this pic, I almost wish I'd kept this top even though it's definitely not casual. The color was just so perplexing to me - kind of a peachy, skin tone color. I also was unsure of the sheer sleeve area...kind of 90s? I wasn't a fan of the dramatic high-low hemline either.

Status: Returned

#5 Kut From The Kloth - Dayna Skinny Jean - $88

These jeans were actually kind of perfect but I didn't need another pair of skinny jeans and I didn't request them. I'm also not sure how I feel about "made for Stitch Fix" styles...it seems like they're trying to make cheaper versions of nice clothes and sell them for the standard price.

Status: Returned

I felt really let down by this fix but I have high hopes that Victor can fix this. Overall, I'm still happy with the quality and general awesomeness of this service so I'd still recommend giving it a try!

Stitch Fix #9

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

Let's get straight to the clothes:

#1 Margaret M - Emer High Waisted Cropped Trouser - $98

These pants weren't something I requested but had they been a small instead of a medium, I might've been in trouble. They have an elastic waste and they're the most comfortable pants I've put on my body since maternity leggings! Honestly, I just don't wear trousers to work that often though and they were a bit too big.

Status: Returned

#2 Skies are Blue - Winston Button Down Blouse - $38

I normally love this brand but this is easily the ugliest thing I've ever tried on. I think the photos speak for themselves. Yuck-o.

Status: Returned

#3 Laila Jayde - Bowie Solid Dolman Sleeve Top - $58

Looking back at the photos of this top, I wish I'd kept it. I thought the color was gorgeous and the fit was very flattering. Had it arrived a month before when we were still in the throws of winter, I probably would've jumped on it but I just could bring myself to buy a sweater with spring on the horizon.

Status: Returned

#4 Fun2Fun - Toronto Bicycle Print Split Neck Top - $48

I am really bad at styling tops...I later saw this top styled with a bright cardigan and a chunky necklace and it looked perfectly adorable! Having no vision, I obviously didn't keep the top. Note to self: Do some research and style these pieces before making a decision!

Status: Returned

#5 Pixley - Laural Geo Print Maxi Dress - $78

Ooooh, I love this dress!! Viviana, my stylist this round, did some research and saw I'd pinned this exact dress on my Pinterest board. It's every bit as lovely as I hoped it would be and can be dressed up with some fun jewelry or dressed down with a jean jacket. I love seeing my Pinterest board come to life.

**As I'm posting this update about 2 months later, I've worn the dress a bunch and I still really love it. My only complaint is that the fabric is pilling a bit up top and for $78 I would expect a higher quality fabric.

Status: Kept

Overall this fix was super fun and I really enjoyed trying on everything. I'm starting to notice that Stitch Fix is taking over my closet and I love it. I'm always excited to get dressed for the day and I have so many unique and quality pieces to choose from!

Stitch Fix #8

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

I think I've figured out the secret to getting a really great fix! After receiving my least favorite fix last time, you can read about it {here}, I went to work on Pinterest and not only pinned ideas but left specific notes to my stylist attached to those pins. I also wrote a really long note to my stylist requesting spring styles, a top for a family photo shoot, and a dress for an outdoor June wedding. I referenced my Pinterest board in my note as well.

So here's what I got:

#1 Gilli - Kamile Jersey Ruched Detail Dress - $64

This is the dress Victor chose for the upcoming wedding I'm attending and I adore it! It's so incredibly comfortable and I can easily dress it up or down. I'm planning to find a pair of gold sandals and a chunky necklace to glam it up. I love, love, love it! Apparently it comes in other colors and I'm tempted to ask for it again in a different color.

Status: Kept

#2 Brixon Ivy - Renesme Floral Print Dress - $78

If I hadn't just received the faux wrap dress in my last fix I may have loved this but I don't need two dresses like this. It seemed to be cut wrong with the slip hanging below the hem of the dress as well. I did love the beautiful colors and print though!

Status: Returned

#3 19 Cooper - Lizza Floral Print Short-Sleeve Blouse - $38

I LOVED the floral pattern and bright colors of this top, not to mention the friendly price tag. I had such high hopes. It just fit so awful. So, so awful.

Status: Returned

#4 Market & Spruce - Quito Open Drape Cardigan - $68

Victor sent this to me after he saw I'd requested an aztec print cardigan a while back,so fun! I should've kept it and I totally regret it. It just seemed like such a fall item and  I didn't want to have to immediately pack it away.

Status: Returned

#5 Papermoon - Preston Button Front Blouse - $44

Finally a top like all those others I'd received but with just a little something extra! I love the sleeves and the fun gold buttons! This is the effortlessly stylish top for which I've been looking for months. It also has the oh so trendy high-low hem and I love the color! Yay!

Status: Kept

Victor was a super awesome stylist! I loved that he finally sent me the color that I've been requesting for months and really combed through my Pinterest and Fix requests! I've been pinning like mad and I'm requesting more spring clothes and fun colors in my next fix! I'm still totally on a mission to keep everything in the box just once.

Stitch Fix #7

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

This fix was fun but a little off from what I was really wanting or expecting. I think I may have just been over the whole winter clothing thing. Anyways, I still LOVE this service and I find myself wearing entire outfits of Stitch Fix clothing multiple days a week. I love all of my clothes and they've all held up really great.

Let's get to the clothes! :)

#1 Octavia - Harlow Heart Print Infinity Scarf - $28

I liked this scarf but it wasn't anything special and I'm not a big fan of the grey and cream color combo. When it comes to accessories, I'm also really cheap.

Status: Returned

#2 41Hawthorn - Renesme Geo Print Faux Wrap Dress - $78

Generally, I am not a fan of three-quarter length sleeve dresses nor faux wrap dresses but I put this dress on and immediately knew I had to own it. I took it off and hung it up in my closet! It's super comfortable, seems to flatter my figure, it's lined, and it looks good with my tall brown boots! I really love this dress!

Status: Kept

#3 41Hawthorn - Colibri Solid Tab Sleeve Blouse - $48

I'm fairly certain they've sent me this exact top (in a different color) in a previous fix. I was so torn on this one as I really loved the color and it was super comfortable. It definitely fell into the category of effortlessly stylish that I had been asking my stylist to send me. Ultimately it just wasn't quite what I was looking for although I can't quite put my finger on why.

Status: Returned

#4 Dee Elle - Olivia Open Knit Cardigan - $58

This sweater was a rare complete miss. It was very heavy and reminded me of those terrible "sweater coats" that were so in style in the late 90's. Yuck.

Status: Returned

#5 RD Style - Wilkes Colorblocked Raglan Sweater - $58

Another tough decision for me. Chris really liked this sweater and every time I tried it on, it grew on me. I'm just not a big sweater person and the colorblocking was a little off on the shoulders. Plus, the grey and cream was a little bland for my tastes.

On a side note, they keep sending me these high-low hem styles...I guess I need to get with the style and own a few like this!

Status: Returned

Although this was not my favorite fix, I'm still hooked and looking forward to requesting spring styles and a special occasion dress in my next fix!

Stitch Fix #6

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

I received my sixth fix last week and I was so excited to get into the clothes that I forgot to take my usual "just out of the box" shot so I had to reuse an old one! I loved the note from my stylist, Amanda, this time. She mentioned my fix requests and Pinterest board and gave me some really great tips for styling my items. I don't always get the feeling that these styles are "just for me" but she totally gave me that vibe and I love that.

So here's what I got...

#1 Kut from the Kloth - Denna Skinny Jean - $78

I cheered when I saw these were coming my way! I love my dark pink jeans in this brand and style so much and I need a new pair of black jeans pretty bad. Sadly, I wear a smaller size in this brand and forgot to update my style profile so they're going back. Womp, Womp

Status: Returned

#2 Papermoon- Charissa Pleated Swing Skirt - $58

Oh I love this skirt! It's so twirly and sweet. I just don't need another black skirt...sigh. I sort of regret sending it back but I'm really into this Stitch Fix business because of the unique items, not the basics.

Status: Returned

#3 Honey Punch - Stina Plaid Roll-Tab Top - $48

I had high hopes for this top and I wanted to love it so much...I just didn't. Something was off about it and I can't pinpoint it. If I could ever find something similar but better fitting, I would totally snatch it up!

Status: Returned

#4 41 Hawthorn - Gideon Polka Dot Sweater - $68

My friend, whom I convinced to try Stitch Fix, totally received and kept this sweater in her first fix. It looks awesome on her and I was not planning to keep it since we work together but I sort of fell in love with it when I put it on. Did I mention it's reversible too? See the reverse in the above pics. My apologies, C...you have great taste!

Status: Kept

#5 Olive & Oak - Connie Graphic Print Fringe Cardigan - $74

It took me about 2 minutes to even figure out how to put this cardigan on...it is way too fashionable for me. I love the colors and print of it but the fringe and the bulk of the sweater made me look large, and again, just way to trendy for me.

Status: Returned

This was a great fix! The sweater is my favorite piece of all time from Stitch Fix and I had a lot of fun trying on these unique pieces! I really feel like I'm honing in on a really awesome style for myself post-pregnancy and I can't wait to clean out my closet over the break and see what I need to request to fill in the gaps!

Stitch Fix #5

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

I received my fifth fix shortly before Thanksgiving and I've been so busy finishing up school for the year and getting ready for the holidays that I didn't have time to blog about it! I thoroughly enjoyed this fix and trying everything on, but this one missed the mark for me just a little bit.

Anyways...here it is, my fifth fix!

#1 Look by M - Torrey Twist Cable Knit Infinity Scarf - $42

I adore the idea of this scarf! It was very soft and warm and I'm totally a sucker for infinity scarves but I was just not a fan of the color. Winter is so dreary, I prefer to add pops of color where I can. This did inspire me to request cable knit scarves for Christmas though. ;) My hubby did not disappoint.

Status: Returned

#2 Kut from the Kloth - Denna Colored Skinny Jeans - $78

I loved the dark pink color of these jeans so much in my {fourth fix} that I requested them to be sent again in a smaller size. Perfection. I'm so happy with these jeans!

Status: Kept

#3 Collective Concepts - Esten Button-Up Sleeveless Blouse - $54

I do regret not keeping this top. I just couldn't justify the price tag for so little fabric and it wasn't anything special. I did love how effortless it felt and the color. Perhaps I'll find something like it in my budget one of these days!

Status: Returned

#4 Staccato - Byers Houndstooth Open Draped Cardigan - $64

I loved this cardigan and was pretty convinced I'd keep it but when I reviewed the photographs, it just looked heavy and frumpy to me.

Status: Returned

#5 LA MADE - Ida 3/4 Sleeve Striped Shirt Dress - $98

The fabric of this dress was amazing and it was so comfortable but it just felt a bit big and a little long for my taste. I was relieved...I don't think I could spend $98 on an everyday dress.

Status: Returned

This fix just really didn't feel quite like my style but I appreciated the opportunity to try on some new things and explore my style a bit more. I'm always happy when I find one thing I love (the dark pink jeans!)...I'm pretty sure my husband would have a heart attack if I kept all five things each month!
