ONE.

My "treat yo self" day last Friday was awesome! The massage was heavenly - I want to gift everyone a massage now. Best. Gift. Ever. I took care of some things at the mall and shopped the BBW semi-annual sale. Headed to Old Navy for a date night outfit and finally used my gift card at Zoe's Kitchen (it's Mediterranean, which I LOVE and everyone else hates). I took everything home, pumped and spent a long time getting ready for date night while watching OITB. Just about the time the babies got home, I was thinking about how much I missed them, so the day was just long enough.

Speaking of my Old Navy trip, I grabbed these AMAZING elephant shorts on whim and I LOVE them! They are cool and super comfy for hot days AND they match my Chloe + Isabel elephant bracelet!

My new school year planner - already thinking ahead to 17-18. In the past, I've purchased Plum Paper and Erin Condren, but I really don't use the lesson planner portion, so this year, I sprang for the Day Designer. I've heard some amazing things and I liked the trial page they provided. I'm worried it might be too cumbersome, but I love the idea of a goal focused planner with a page for each day broken down by time and a big three check list. Let's see if I can keep up with it - I'll report back once the school year kicks off. June & July are not for scheduling.
Also, check out the amazing packaging it came in:

Day 1, Monday, was such a cluster. I panicked and ran to Pinterest for some ideas on how to loosely structure our summer days. I ran across some decent ideas and I'm definitely planning to implement the quiet boxes since I officially have a child who no longer naps. We've since fallen into a much better routine, but I still like the overall idea of a loose schedule and something fun each day. What do you do to keep your kiddos happy and your sanity during the summer?

Kid Update:

Zoey is my little fish and Luke dipped his toes in for the first time this weekend!

Zoey started dance class on Tuesday and she LOVED it. My first outing with just me and both kids was actually to procure all of her dance stuff on Monday. She was also signed up for soccer, but when I took her yesterday morning, she started crying and said she'd rather do dance, soccer is "dangerous". I have no idea where she got that, but I get it, sweet girl. Dance it is.

My daughter holds coffee parties instead of tea parties...jealous?

After our soccer incident yesterday, we went home for a snack and regrouped for the library. Little did we know, it was zoo day and the Dallas Zoo had brought animals, so that was awesome and now I need a chinchilla. Then we played in the choochoo where both my children were angels. We spent about 2 hours there and no one had a melt down (including me).
I'm feeling pretty confident now that I CAN do this SAHM thing. I won't lie, earlier this week, it was feeling pretty impossible. I met a mom at the library with a toddler and an infant and she called it a "logistical nightmare" - yes, can I please be your friend?

Looking forward to a weekend of man coverage! Have a great weekend! Linking up.

See y'all next week!
