As luck would have it, summer school ended yesterday and my babies have one more day of daycare before they're officially out for summer. Soooo, I am, for the first time ever, taking them to school in just a bit and having some "me time". I'm cashing in on a massage gift card, eating a really long lunch and Orange is the New Black is out today so that's easily going to eat up the rest of my day. It's even date night! I am probably a little more excited than I should be about this day.
TWO.
So a long time ago....this room was painted a baby poop gold color with a dark blue accent wall. Actually the whole house was painted a variation of baby poop when we purchased it. So Chris and I, pre-kids, systematically painted every single wall in our house. Primarily, Revere Pewter by Benjamin Moore, a lovely Greige color. Somewhere along the way though, I got tired of painting grey and lost my mind. I decided we NEEDED to paint the largest room in our house a vibrant green color. Chris reminded me that, at the time, he protested, but I quickly shut him down with "not every room in our house can be grey!". Yeah, I stand by that statement, but does it need to be neon green?!
So now that I spend a lot of time up here with the kids and we have our "theater" set up, the green HAS to go. I'm thinking a variation of this color, but what do y'all recommend? I'll never live this down, but I've been given a do-over so it has to be right this time!

THREE.

I finally found a kid-proof swimsuit that is still attractive. It was a huge splurge from Athleta, but totally worth it. The bottoms and tops are mix and match, which I LOVE. I got a slight boy short bottom, because I've just never been a fan of my rear hanging out and although I am not a fan of "tankinis", this blousey swim tank is so perfect for teaching my girl how to swim. No accidental peep shows here!
FOUR.

Speaking of swimming, we finally checked out our neighborhood pool after living here for 5 years. Zoey had a blast and remembered most of her swim skills from last year. We just need to work on jumping FORWARD (not straight up) from the edge of the pool.

I loved this little 1.5 foot, shaded kiddie pool too.

I've never seen her so exhausted. She crashed within minutes of sitting down.
FIVE.
Just some cuteness from the week.

Wish me luck this coming week as I take on my summer job of stay at home mommy! I'm a little nervous to have a toddler who doesn't nap and an infant who is still breastfeeding. How do y'all structure your day where the toddler still has fun, but the baby stays fed and happy? Help a sister out with some ideas!
I hope you all have a marvelous weekend! Linking up!

See y'all next week!
