Stitch Fix #6

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

I received my sixth fix last week and I was so excited to get into the clothes that I forgot to take my usual "just out of the box" shot so I had to reuse an old one! I loved the note from my stylist, Amanda, this time. She mentioned my fix requests and Pinterest board and gave me some really great tips for styling my items. I don't always get the feeling that these styles are "just for me" but she totally gave me that vibe and I love that.

So here's what I got...

#1 Kut from the Kloth - Denna Skinny Jean - $78

I cheered when I saw these were coming my way! I love my dark pink jeans in this brand and style so much and I need a new pair of black jeans pretty bad. Sadly, I wear a smaller size in this brand and forgot to update my style profile so they're going back. Womp, Womp

Status: Returned

#2 Papermoon- Charissa Pleated Swing Skirt - $58

Oh I love this skirt! It's so twirly and sweet. I just don't need another black skirt...sigh. I sort of regret sending it back but I'm really into this Stitch Fix business because of the unique items, not the basics.

Status: Returned

#3 Honey Punch - Stina Plaid Roll-Tab Top - $48

I had high hopes for this top and I wanted to love it so much...I just didn't. Something was off about it and I can't pinpoint it. If I could ever find something similar but better fitting, I would totally snatch it up!

Status: Returned

#4 41 Hawthorn - Gideon Polka Dot Sweater - $68

My friend, whom I convinced to try Stitch Fix, totally received and kept this sweater in her first fix. It looks awesome on her and I was not planning to keep it since we work together but I sort of fell in love with it when I put it on. Did I mention it's reversible too? See the reverse in the above pics. My apologies, C...you have great taste!

Status: Kept

#5 Olive & Oak - Connie Graphic Print Fringe Cardigan - $74

It took me about 2 minutes to even figure out how to put this cardigan on...it is way too fashionable for me. I love the colors and print of it but the fringe and the bulk of the sweater made me look large, and again, just way to trendy for me.

Status: Returned

This was a great fix! The sweater is my favorite piece of all time from Stitch Fix and I had a lot of fun trying on these unique pieces! I really feel like I'm honing in on a really awesome style for myself post-pregnancy and I can't wait to clean out my closet over the break and see what I need to request to fill in the gaps!

Stitch Fix #5

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

I received my fifth fix shortly before Thanksgiving and I've been so busy finishing up school for the year and getting ready for the holidays that I didn't have time to blog about it! I thoroughly enjoyed this fix and trying everything on, but this one missed the mark for me just a little bit.

Anyways...here it is, my fifth fix!

#1 Look by M - Torrey Twist Cable Knit Infinity Scarf - $42

I adore the idea of this scarf! It was very soft and warm and I'm totally a sucker for infinity scarves but I was just not a fan of the color. Winter is so dreary, I prefer to add pops of color where I can. This did inspire me to request cable knit scarves for Christmas though. ;) My hubby did not disappoint.

Status: Returned

#2 Kut from the Kloth - Denna Colored Skinny Jeans - $78

I loved the dark pink color of these jeans so much in my {fourth fix} that I requested them to be sent again in a smaller size. Perfection. I'm so happy with these jeans!

Status: Kept

#3 Collective Concepts - Esten Button-Up Sleeveless Blouse - $54

I do regret not keeping this top. I just couldn't justify the price tag for so little fabric and it wasn't anything special. I did love how effortless it felt and the color. Perhaps I'll find something like it in my budget one of these days!

Status: Returned

#4 Staccato - Byers Houndstooth Open Draped Cardigan - $64

I loved this cardigan and was pretty convinced I'd keep it but when I reviewed the photographs, it just looked heavy and frumpy to me.

Status: Returned

#5 LA MADE - Ida 3/4 Sleeve Striped Shirt Dress - $98

The fabric of this dress was amazing and it was so comfortable but it just felt a bit big and a little long for my taste. I was relieved...I don't think I could spend $98 on an everyday dress.

Status: Returned

This fix just really didn't feel quite like my style but I appreciated the opportunity to try on some new things and explore my style a bit more. I'm always happy when I find one thing I love (the dark pink jeans!)...I'm pretty sure my husband would have a heart attack if I kept all five things each month!

Stitch Fix Update

A little update on my {Stitch Fix} purchases over the months. I just blogged about {my fourth fix} and I'm still absolutely hooked on this amazing service.

I've kept 9 pieces total out of the 20 I've received and I still love them all! I wear at least one piece once a week but sometimes I catch myself wearing a few of my items multiple weeks in a row.

#1 Fix: 41Hawthorn - Montgomery Chevron Cross-Front Top - $48

This top is probably the one I wear the least but I still love it. I don't wear it as often simply because it's a little dressy for my everyday attire. It's held up really well when machine washed and air dried.

#1 Fix: Market and Spruce - Corinna Striped Heathered Dolman Top - $48

I wear this top all the time! I pair it with my melon capris and a melon bib necklace. It's incredibly comfortable but looks just fancy enough for work. It's a lightweight sweater material so it's perfect for the cool fall weather we've been having as well. It's also held up well when machine washed and air dried.

#2 Fix: Kensie - Kormann Drape Front Open Cardigan - $38

I wear this cardigan about twice a week. It looks great with t-shirts, sleeveless tops, skirts, jeans, whatever. It is definitely one of my go-to cardigans. Again, it's held up well when machine washed and air dried.

#2 Fix: 41Hawthorn - Mandi Colorblock Shift Dress - $38

This is probably my favorite piece from {Stitch Fix} thus far. I love how stylish yet modest it is for work. I pair it with a pink bib necklace and my grey Toms wedges. It has also held up well when machine washed and air dried.

#3 Fix: Liverpool - Shania Stitched Detail Jean - $78

I am SO glad I kept these jeans. The care instructions say to avoid the drier but I've accidentally left them in there and they come out perfect every time. They're so comfortable, like wearing pajamas comfortable! I'll be searching for another pair of these soon - maybe in black or a fun, fall color!

#3 Fix: 41Hawthorn - Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan - $48
#3 Fix: Skies are Blue - Alexa Embroidery Detailed Tank - $48

I struggled with the cream top when deciding if I should keep it, but I'm so glad I did. I feel very pretty and feminine when I wear it and the cardigan was a great addition to my wardrobe. I pair these two together but the cardigan also gets paired with a few dresses (with a skinny belt) and the cream top is worn solo when it's warm enough. The top requires hand washing...which to me means machine wash in a garment bag on delicate with the rest of my light colored clothes. It's washed up perfectly every time.

I'll post here soon about my most recent purchases from {Fix #4}.

I wear my clothes from {Stitch Fix} the most often out of all the clothes I own. They've maintained their quality throughout many machine washes, small stains, etc. I'm very happy with the pieces I've kept and I feel really great on the days I wear them. I'm super happy with Stitch Fix and I'll definitely continue my monthly fixes for a while longer!

Stitch Fix #4

I'm hooked.

I received my fourth fix on Thursday and as usual, I was excited by the colors and patterns I saw upon opening the box. The note from my stylist, Alva, gave me some great suggestions for how to style my clothes and she even mentioned wearing the Kensie cardigan I kept from {Fix #2} with one of the tops! She did not did not disappoint with the fall/winter styles I requested!

Let's get to the clothes!

#1 Loveappella -Lavana Ikat Print Swing Skirt - $58

I received this skirt in another pattern in {my first fix} and loved it! Sadly, this brand runs very small and it didn't fit. This time, I received the next size up and it fits awesome. I love the beautiful color and fun pattern. I don't think I'll pair it with this top but I don't currently have anything in my wardrobe that looks just right with it. I'm thinking a cream or mustard yellow t-shirt with a cardigan and boots would look awesome though.

I love that mustard yellow top suggested on my style card...why didn't they send me that one?!

Status: Kept

#2 Kut from the Kloth - Denna Colored Skinny Jeans - $78

I love the dark pink color of these jeans so much! Unfortunately, they just look a little too baggy on me and I prefer my jeans to be pretty fitted. I've searched high and low for a similar pair or even a pair in a smaller size and I can't find them anywhere! :( I'll definitely be asking if they can send me another size to try.

Status: Returned

#3 Skies are Blue - Sherry Embroidery Detail Tab-Sleeve Blouse - $58

This top is so unique and so soft! I just love everything about it. I was a little worried about the yellow since I typically do not look great in that color but since it's just the detailing and reasonably subtle - I think it works. It looks particularly good when paired with my yummy Liverpool jeans from {Fix #3}.

Status: Kept

#4 Market & Spruce - Shiva Plaid Mixed Material Tee - $44

I don't dislike this top and it looks fab with those jeans but it was lacking a little femininity for me. I think accessorizing it would've made it better but not enough for me to keep it.

Status: Returned

#5 Ezra - Reeda Vneck Mixed Print Belted Dress - $44

I had to take to Facebook for more opinions on this dress. Initially, I wasn't a fan. Then, looking at the photos, it started to grow on me. I love the style, the long sleeves, the length but I just don't love the material and I'm not a huge fan of the tan/brown color. I still have mixed feelings about this dress but I think it has to be a "no". Maybe with a little feedback, I'll get something of similar style in my next fix! Thanks for the honest opinions, friends!

Status: Returned.

This was, by far, my favorite fix even though I didn't keep all of the clothes. The colors, patterns and styles were unique, fun and perfect for the season. I also loved that my stylist referenced a previous purchase for styling and really took into account my feedback and requests.

My Third Fix

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for a $25 credit too! I wear my Stitch Fix purchases ALL THE TIME and love how I've been able to refresh my wardrobe with unique, quality items without spending my precious evening and weekend time at the mall. I'm hooked.

I received my third fix today and at first glance, I knew I was in trouble. I loved every single thing in the box. I requested clothes that could translate from school days to weekends and things that could be layered. I'd say my stylist, Madison, delivered. The prices were a little higher than normal but I'm okay with it due to the type of clothes I received. Still, I'll be sending a note regarding my price point with my feedback.

Let's get to the clothes!

#1 Liverpool - Shania Stitched Detail Jean - $78

Oh my heavens, these jeans. I scoffed when I saw they sent me $78 jeans. I buy my jeans from Old Navy for $19, thank you very much. BUT, they are the most amazingly comfy jeans I've ever put on my body and I love the dark wash and subtle detail. I don't know what to do!

#2 41Hawthorn - Rosa Tab Sleeve V-Neck Blouse - $58

Maybe I just styled this wrong but I'm not a fan of this shirt. It just needs something extra and I'm not sure I have what it needs. It was suggested that I pair this with jeans or a white pencil skirt with a bib necklace but I definitely don't have a white pencil skirt. On a side note, have you noticed they send me a cobalt blue top in every fix?

#3 41Hawthorn - Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan - $48

I don't own anything in this color and it's incredibly soft and comfy. It's on the thin side so it's perfect for layering during these difficult fall months and could easily transition into winter. I could see it paired with a winter dress (hello, next fix request!) and boots too! I'm 95% sure this is a keeper.

#4 RD Style - Analisa Twisted Seam Pull-Over Sweater - $68

I kind of like the look of the sweater from the side but I'm not a big fan of the front. It's a little too short and the sweater is overall a bit too bulky for my style. Also, not a fan of the grey...winter is gloomy enough! Where are my bright colors?!

#5 Skies are Blue - Alexa Embroidery Detailed Tank - $48

Madison suggested I pair this top with the jeans and throw on the Abrianna cardigan on chilly days. I'm in love with the top and it's feminine cut and blue embroidery. I love the whole outfit. Yes, it is a bit see through despite being lined so I will definitely be adding a camisole. I'm also 95% sure this is a keeper.

So that's my third fix. I loved the layerable items and clothes that would transition well into the colder months but I was definitely missing the usual dress/skirt option! I'll definitely be requesting that in my next fix.

What do you guys think? I need some help deciding what to keep...be honest! :)

My Second Fix

If you haven't heard about Stitch Fix, read about it {here} and sign up if you're interested! If you use my link to sign up, I get a $25 credit and once you sign up, you can share your link for $25 credits too!

I just received my second fix and they really took my feedback into consideration when preparing this one! The prices were lower and the items were just what I asked for in the latest note to my stylist.

Starting back to work this week (beginning a new school year) and adjusting to taking my daughter to daycare, I didn't get the pretty photos I was hoping to post on the blog but it was packaged just like {my first fix}. This was the perfect pick me up during an exhausting week.

Let's get to the clothes!

#1 Renee C - Gabe Bold Striped Maxi Skirt - $48

Still a little over my normal price range for this type of skirt but if this had been a different color, I totally would've kept it anyway. It was the only thing keeping me from buying the whole fix this time (which by the way, you get a 25% discount if you keep it all). My stylist suggested pairing it with the blue top in my fix (I disagree, it looked terrible) or a heather gray or olive t-shirt. I do think it would've looked better with a grey top but this was all I had.

Status: Returned

#2 41Hawthorn - Mandi Colorblock Shift Dress - $38

I love this dress! It's fully lined and has a fun, chunky gold zipper in the back. My stylist suggested dressing it up with a bib necklace and heels or down with Keds (love that those are back in style) and a fun scarf. I can't wait to wear this to work and out on the town!

Status: Kept

#3 19 Cooper - Micah Ruffle Detail Sleeveless Blouse - $38

The only thing that stopped me from keeping this top was the maxi skirt. I couldn't justify $40 for such a simple top but if I'd kept the whole thing and gotten the discount...I could've handled $30 (the whole fix would've been $139.50, not bad). I'm hoping I can find something similar the next time I go shopping.

Status: Returned

#4 Kensie - Kormann Drape Front Open Cardigan - $38

I requested a go to cardigan for this fix and my stylist delivered! I love this cardigan and felt the price was pretty good for the quality.

Status: Kept

#5 Renee C - Macklin Graphic Geo Print Keyhole Blouse - $38

This top had a gorgeous, slightly open back and although I was skeptical of the high-low hem, I ended up loving it on with some skinny jeans. If I'd received this in the spring I would've been all over it, I just couldn't be convinced to keep it and cover up the gorgeous back with a cardigan all fall.

Status: Returned

This fix left me with some tough decisions which means it was a good one! I also loved receiving a 5th clothing item instead of an accessory. I left my feedback and my next fix is scheduled to arrive 2 days before my birthday. I can't wait to see what comes next!

P.S. I wasn't compensated for this post. I get $25 if you sign up through {my link} and you can get $25 too when you share your link!
